Session: FR06
Time:

The Bay Area Latino Cannabis Alliance, "BALCA", will present its five pillars and inclusionary industry work. Professional Development, Business Ownership, Civil Rights, Education, and Culture for Latinos in Cannabis, are BALCA's five key principles. BALCA established The Voice/La Voz the first bilingual cannabis newsletter in the US. BALCA formed dynamic Oakland, San Francisco, and San Jose member-led chapters, practicing community inclusion and producing quality educational content for local retail budtenders. BALCA's inclusionary work created monthly mixers and a community of shared resources, forming the first of its kind business league representing Latino Cannabis Businesses. BALCA has been building a historical bridge between legacy Humboldt growers and Bay Area equity operators, generating a new equity-based business vision. BALCA will present its dynamic work of 2021 and its plans for 2022.
